Talya Shalit

Talya Shalit

Born in Jerusalem in 1992, lives and works in Tel Aviv.

Graduated with honors in Fine Arts from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem; participated in a student exchange program at Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam (2018–2019).

Won an Excellence Award for her final project on behalf of Bezalel Academy (2020); received an America-Israel Cultural Foundation Scholarship (2020) and an Outstanding Student Scholarship from the Jerusalem Municipality (2019).

Talya Shalit’s exhibitions of sculptural and video installations function as one body: a system that resonates, replicates, deviates and stumbles constantly. The whole body of the exhibition breaks down into independent organs in space.

She often works in collaboration with artists and creators from other disciplines (composers, models, swimmers).
