התפרצות \\ במסגרת פרויקט עמיתי בצלאל

במסגרת המחזור השישי של תוכנית עמיתי בצלאל שמונה בוגרי בצלאל בתחומי האמנות והעיצוב יצאו לדרך של הוראה ויצירה בשמונה בתי ספר בבת ים ובירושלים. כל בוגר קיבל כיתה בתוך בית ספר, אותה הסב להיות הסטודיו הראשון מחוץ לאקדמיה.

התפרצות מגפת הקורונה הכתיבה דרכי פעולה שונות, לא רק לתהליך סיום לימודיהם של הבוגרים הטריים – למידה מרחוק ותערוכת גמר עם מגבלת קהל וללא פתיחה – אלא שגם בכניסתם אל בתי הספר הם פגשו מערכת במשבר: הוראה בזום, כיתות ריקות, מגרשי הספורט והחצרות שוממים. בתערוכה זו אנו לומדים על תהליך היצירה שהאט בחלק מהמקרים, קיבל תנופה באחרים, ובכולם התפרץ בעשייה דחוסה כאשר הסגרים הוסרו וההוראה בבתי הספר שבה למסלולה.

בתערוכה התפרצות מובאים לראשונה יצירות תכנית הבוגרים של עמיתי בצלאל. זו הזדמנות לחשוף את העשייה האמנותית והעיצובית של העמיתים שנעשתה בחללי הסטודיו בבתי הספר השונים במהלך שנה זו.

In the sixth cohort of the Bezalel Residency Program, eight Bezalel art and design alumni embarked on a path of art and teaching, in eight schools across the cities of Bat Yam and Jerusalem. Each resident received a classroom within a school, which was then converted into the first studio away from academia.

The Covid-19 outbreak dictated different modes of operation, spanning both the new graduates’ final study stages – distance learning and an audience-restricted final exhibition with no opening – and their first steps in education. They encountered a system in crisis: Teaching via Zoom, empty classrooms, deserted sports fields and yards. This exhibition provides a peek into the creative process, which slowed down in some cases, gained momentum in others, and in all – erupted densely once the lockdowns were lifted and the schools’ teaching activity was back on track.

The exhibition Outbreak brings, for the first time, the work of the participants of the Bezalel Residency Program. This is a first exposure to their artistic and design work undertaken in the studio spaces at their various schools during the past year.
