The Professional Development Program - Edmond de Rothschild Center

The goal of the Edmond de Rothschild Center’s professional development program, established in May 2020, is to encourage the integration of artists and designers into the local art and design fields.
The program was developed for selected graduates of art and design schools and academies in Israel, who completed their undergraduate studies in the past year.
The program provides its participants with tools to advance their work and establish themselves professionally, with group and individual guidance by a team of mentors with rich experience and ongoing involvement in the contemporary art and design world.
The Edmond de Rothschild Center offers two separate professional development programs, which take place side by side several times a year, each tailored to the unique needs of the artists and designers.

In the art field

The professional development program in the field of art focuses on theoretical and practical contents, including: Writing an artist statement; reviewing and mapping the professional options for young artists and tools for developing them; getting to know the various art and social engagement platforms; mentoring sessions with a leading team specializing in curating, art theory, gallery management, and the development of relevant platforms; and personal meetings with senior artists.
Alumni of the professional development program join the Edmond de Rothschild Center’s community of artists and designers, which provides a space for collaboration, dialogue, and enrichment.

In the design field

The professional development program in the field of design was created in collaboration with the OutBox Association, and focuses on: Product development; marketing; building a business plan and basic acquaintance with the financial world of self-employment; personal guidance by a professional team and leading consultants in the field of design.
