Racheli Sharfstein

A multi-disciplinary designer and artist. Earned an MA at the Domus Academy Milan, where she explored and investigated various materials, transposing them from their natural use into a new, unfamiliar environment. New questions emerge from these actions, with regards to form, material, formalism, and placement within a space.

In 2010, she opened Reish Studio, where she works today. The studio is engaged in a range of projects in the realm of product design, investigating the relationship between an object positioned in a space and the user reflected in it from a fresh and humorous point of view.

The connection between the field of design and art is evident in many of the projects, especially through collaborations between creators from interfacing—or totally different—areas, which enable continuous development.

Racheli has exhibited her works in group shows in Israel and abroad, most recently at the Tel Aviv Biennale of Crafts and Design 2023 at MUZA (Eretz Israel Museum, Tel Aviv), Freshpaint 2023, ZUMU Nahariya 2022, space design for an art exhibition at the Ramat Hasharon Municipal Gallery, and more.
