Tal Narkiss
Born 1995, lives in Tel Aviv. Graduated from Shenkar College of Engineering, Design, and Art’s Department of Textile Design.
Tal’s weaving work traverses the intersection of art and design within the realm of textiles. She explores possibilities for creating three-dimensional structures by weaving, creates contemporary interpretations for ancient tools, and is interested in connections between past and present.
She is the winner of the 2022 Dorothy Waxman International Textile Design Prize, which is a part of the Talking Textiles initiative; and the Bavarian State Award, as part of the Talente Masters of the Future exhibition in Munich, 2023. Tal has also participated in the 1000 Vases exhibition of the Paris Design Week, September 2022.
