Yuli Meroz

Graduated from the Department of Industrial Design, Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem. Creator of the O Peel brand.

She designs, researches, and creates with living and changing materials, which have concluded their role in our lives, such as peels and leftover fruit, and uses tools and knowledge from the spheres of product design and art to transform them into objects of new value.

“Considering the peel as a potential raw material requires me to challenge and stimulate my thinking in order to come up with novel solutions – with emphasis on aesthetics, hand craft, technology, and sustainability. At the heart of innovation lies the ability to cope with various creative challenges.

As part of my work, I present in exhibitions, create projects for private clients, and conduct meetings and workshops in which I make more accessible an inventive creative line of thought, which relies on the curiosity inherent in working with materials.”
