Mahmoud explores themes related to childhood, the home, and utopian dreams, working primarily with pastel on canvas, oil paintings, sculptures and digital art. Her pieces are overly colorful, characterized by the use of materials related to childhood in addition to natural materials found in her locality. Her choice of materials is inspired by memories of childhood and of home.
