Sally Haftel Naveh
Independent curator of contemporary art, born Colombia, 1969. Holds a BA and MA in Art History from Tel Aviv University. Participated in a curators’ residency program at MeetFactory and Brno House of Arts in the Czech Republic.
Curated solo and group exhibitions in galleries, museums, alternative exhibition spaces, and public spaces in Israel and abroad, including Disrupted Layer, a solo exhibition by Zohar Gotesman at the Israel Museum’s Archaeology Wing; Beyond Somewhere at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; Drop Dead Funny at the Brno House of Arts, Czech Republic; Permanent Exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv-Yafo; A Problem at the Tel Aviv Artists House; Breaking Balance at HIT gallery, Bratislava, Slovakia; Evocative Surfaces at the Museo di Palazzo Grimani, Venice, Italy; Impressions VI – The Return of Paper/Thoughts on Drawing, the Biennale for Drawing, Jerusalem Artists House; Objectonomy at MeetFactory, Prague, Czech Republic; Tie Breaker at the Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; Orient Express at the Museum for Islamic Art, Jerusalem; RE: Visiting Rockefeller at the Rockefeller Archeological Museum, Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
Curator and manager of the Kav 16 – Community Gallery for Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv-Yafo (2010-2013) and the Braverman gallery in Tel Aviv-Yafo (2003-2009).
Served as artistic advisor for the Villa Art Gallery and member of the project committee advising Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality’s Art Department. Currently serves on the advisory committee for the Artport art residency program and an arts advisor for the Kiryat Ono Municipality and as a guest lecturer in various academic institutions.
