
Yakira Ament
Born 1994, New York; lives and works in Haifa.
A multidisciplinary artist, engaged in drawing, sculpture, painting, and movement. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem (2020, 2022). In 2019, she participated in a student exchange program at HGB Academy of Visual Arts, Leipzig, Germany, focusing on integrative drawing and printmaking.
She is a recipient of the Eileen Cooper Award of Excellence, Bezalel (2020); an Outstanding Excellence Award from the America-Israel Foundation (2020); a past participant of the Edmond de Rothschild Center’s Professional Development Program in the field of Art (2021); an academic excellence award from the Bezalel’s MFA Program (2021); a Michael & Pauline Lockman Foundation scholarship (2022); project support from the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts and the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality (2022), support for the production of a new work from Mifal Hapayis Council for the Culture and Arts (2024).
