Yakira Ament

Multidisciplinary artist (drawing, sculpture, and movement)
Born 1994, New York, living and working in Tel Aviv-Yafo
MFA and BFA in Fine Arts, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2020, 2022) | Participated in the student exchange program at the Academy of Fine Arts (HGB) Leipzig, Germany (2019), with a focus on integrative drawing and printmaking
Winner of the Aileen S. Cooper Prize at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2020). Recipient of the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarship for outstanding students (2020). Participant in Edmond de Rothschild Center’s Professional Development Program in the field of Art (2021). Winner of the graduate degree prize for academic excellence at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design (2021). Recipient of the Michael & Pauline Lockman scholarship for graduate students (2022) and of the artists grant by the Yehoshua Rabinovich Foundation for the Arts and the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality (2022).
Her works feature in private collections in Israel as well as in the collection of the Tel Aviv Museum of Art.
