Hila Cohen-Schneiderman
An Israeli curator who specializes in research-based, site-specific projects and extensively explores platforms through which art and culture institutions can both maintain organizational and mental flexibility and collaborate with municipal systems. Recipient of the 2021 Ministry of Culture Curatorial Award.
Graduate of the Revivim training program for outstanding teachers in Jewish studies and holds a master’s degree in Hebrew literature from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Served as Chief Curator of MoBY—Museums of Bat Yam; artistic director of the Liebling program for interdisciplinary artists addressing the rethinking of the urban conservation concept, in collaboration with Tel Aviv Municipality’s Conservation Department; curator of the Petach Tikva Museum of Art and in the ‘City Artist’ project for art residencies in municipal departments; and director and curator of the Spaceship Art Gallery at Hayarkon 70 social complex.
Alongside her curatorial activities, she is also a lecturer at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, the School of Visual Theater, and the House of Israeli Art.
