Sally Haftel Naveh
Sally Haftel Naveh is a contemporary art curator, who holds a BA and an MA in art history from Tel Aviv University.
She has worked as a curator and director at Tel Aviv’s Municipality Kav 16 – Community Gallery for Contemporary Art (2010–2013) and the Braverman Gallery in Tel Aviv (2003–2009), and has curated solo and group shows in alternative exhibition spaces, galleries, museums, and in the public space in Israel and elsewhere, including: Cain, Noga Gallery of Contemporary Art in Tel Aviv; Drop Dead Funny, Brno House of Arts, Brno; Permanent Exhibition, Center for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv; Problem, Sadnaot Haomanim, Tel Aviv; Braking Balance, HIT Gallery, Bratislava; Evocative Surfaces, Palazzo Grimani, Venice; The Return of Paper / Reflections on Drawing – Traces VI, the 6th Biennale for Drawing in Israel, Jerusalem Artists’ House; Objectonomy, MeetFactory, Prague; Tie Break, Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; Orient Express, Museum of Islamic Art, Jerusalem; RE: VISITING ROCKEFELLER, Rockefeller Archaeological Museum, Israel Museum, Jerusalem.
Teaches curating at the Sapir College and at Bezalel’s preparatory program, and has participated in a curators’ residency program at MeetFactory and Brno House of Arts in the Czech Republic. Serves as an artistic advisor for Villa Art Gallery, Emuna College and is a member of Artport’s advisory board, Tel Aviv Municipality’s Art Department, and the Knesset’s artwork selection committee.
