Sally Haftel Naveh
An independent curator in the field of contemporary art. She has curated solo and group exhibitions in alternative exhibition spaces, galleries, and museums, as well as in public spaces – in Israel and worldwide – including Light and Shade, a solo exhibition by Ben Hagari, Gutman Museum of Art, Tel Aviv; Disrupted Layer: Contemporary Art by Zohar Gotesman, the Archeology Wing, Israel Museum, Jerusalem; Beyond Somewhere, Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; Drop Dead Funny, Brno House of Arts, Brno, Czech Republic; Permanent Exhibition, a solo exhibition by Nevet Yitzhak, CCA, Tel-Aviv; A Problem, a solo exhibition by Yael Frenkel, Artist’s House, Tel-Aviv; Braking Balance, HIT Gallery, Bratislava, Slovakia; Evocative Surfaces, Grimani Palace, Venice; The Return of Paper / Reflections on Drawing, The 6th Drawing Biennale, Jerusalem; OBJECTONOMY, MeetFactory, Prague; Tie Break, a solo exhibition by Tal Frenkel, Herzliya Museum of Contemporary Art; Orient Express, the Museum for Islamic Art, Jerusalem; and RE: VISITING ROCKEFELLER, Rockefeller Archaeological Museum, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, among others.
Former Director and Curator of Kav 16 – Community Gallery for Contemporary Art, Tel Aviv (2010–2013) and former Curator of Braverman Gallery, Tel Aviv (2003–2009). She holds an MA and BA in Art History from Tel Aviv University. She teaches at the MFA program at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Desing, and is a host lecturer in various academic institutions across Israel. She has participated in curatorial residency programs in MeetFactory and Brno House of Arts, Czech Republic (2014, 2018), as well as in the Cite des Arts International program in Paris (2025).
She served as an art consultant for Villa Gallery – Emuna College’s art gallery, and as a member of the Project Committee of the Tel Aviv Municipality’s Art Department. She is currently a member of the ARTPORT Tel Aviv Residency Advisory Board, and a mentor in the Edmond de Rothschild Center’s Professional Training Program. She has been serving as the outdoor art consultant for the Kiryat Ono Municipality since 2024.
